History

Securitas Security Services, the largest Security Company in the world with over 200,000 employees in 30 countries, split into four separate companies in September of 2006.  One of the companies formed from this organization was Securitas Systems, now known as Niscayah.

Niscayah is a wholly owned, systems integrator headquartered in Sweden and publicly traded on the Swedish Stock Exchange.  Niscayah supplies custom designed integrated, high end security solutions to demanding customers throughout the U.S. commercial marketplace as well as in major market segments such as banks and financial institutions, the healthcare industry, multi-site installations in the enterprise channel and in retail chains to name a few.

Niscayah was established in 1999 with the acquisition of Pinkerton Systems – the number one security company in the U.S. and in 2000, with the purchase of Burns International - the second largest U.S. security company.  These acquisitions created a significant new player in the U.S. market.

Since this time there have been other significant acquisitions in specific areas of the United States and in market segments, such as in the bank community and the healthcare industry.  Purchases include Wornall Electronic Inc in April of 2005, Hamilton Pacific in October of 2005, and Premier Systems in April 2006.   For more information on these acquisitions you can go to: http://www.niscayah.com/Templates/Page____15654.aspx.

Niscayah has continued to grow organically with the opening of new offices in Sacramento California in 2006, Detroit Michigan in 2006, and Miami Florida in 2007.  These offices are a natural progression of our growth as they allow for better customer service for local customers, while allowing us to expand our support to other businesses in these communities.
