GENERAL PURPOSE:
Plans, organizes, directs, and controls project activities required for effective management of extremely “fast-track” electronic security installation projects within a geographical area. Supervises Niscayah’s Branch Office and/or sub-contractor installation efforts. Estimates and prices job changes and obtains Sales approvals. Works with financial, contract management and other management reports and tools to define project problems and status; as well as, assure project profitability. Responsible for project installation quality and adherence to client’s standards of installation. Coordinates subcontractor, equipment and training needs with Global Construction Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
Plans and schedules installation and subcontracting activities on various projects within their area.
- Maintains current job plans and specifications.
- Works with engineering department on design and drafting phases of jobs.
- Coordinates the procurement of materials, supplies and services and controls timely delivery to job site.
- Prepares the project installation plan, manages the plan and prepares and implements job procedures.
- Determines, from review of various information, necessary changes in design, contract price, installation plan or other activity and implements same.
- Maintains construction schedule and coordinates task scheduling with other trades.
- Monitors the performance of subcontractors.
- Keeps self, superiors and subordinates informed of progress.
- Maintains all records of job status, job changes, material flow and other control records and supervises the preparation and processing of reports for internal and external use.
- May estimate or assist in estimating of projects that Niscayah may be bidding.
Implements quality assurance program to continuously improve customer satisfaction.
- Present a professional image of Niscayah when speaking to customers (all levels).
- Develops a relationship with the decision-maker of our Client.
- Routinely walks job sites to ensure the quality and standards for installations of Niscayah’s products.
- Responsible for complete customer satisfaction on projects.
Monitors job status and controls job costs.
- Provides information to determine labor and material requirements on a monthly basis.
- Assists management in monthly forecasting.
- Ensures proper job management and cost control by reviewing financial statements.
- Supervises the preparation of base data required for monthly job billing.
- Monitors financial and other reports and works with other management tools to define project problems.
- Assuring that all timecard are accurate, filled out complete with job numbers, phase codes, times adds up, hours are correct, time card is signed and turned in every Monday on to the Operations AA. Responsible for making sure timecards from the field have arrived at Niscayah on time.
- Devises a plan of action to remedy any problem and implements plan in a timely manner.
Training and development:
- Studies literature and attends seminars to keep current in products, processes and materials.
- Works with installer on Client security concepts, insures Niscayah’s and installation procedures, and provides and coordinates product training for their advancement.
Job Closure
- Responsible for coordinating and completing As-Builts to Client.
- Responsible for completing all project associated paperwork including POs are all completed, Notice of Completions (NOC) is sent, jobs are turned over to Service.
- Verifying that project is 100% billed and revenue is taken.
- Verifying that project close out report is completed.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
Supervises Technicians and Subcontractors.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge:
- High school education or equivalent.
- Associates degree (2 year) or Bachelor degree (4 year) in a technical capacity highly desirable.
Skills and Abilities:
- Minimum five years proven experience in Project Management and installation of Electronic Security systems in a “Fast-Track” environment or related field.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, relay logic, PLC’s and project operations.
- Excellent subcontracting skills required.
- An excellent understanding of job financial reports and the ability to cost containment in handling of large projects.
