LAS VEGAS, April 2, 2008—Securitas Systems USA, Inc., part of Securitas Systems AB, a leading international security systems integrator and partner assisting clients with high security and risk mitigation requirements, is changing its name to Niscayah, Inc., effective July 1, 2008. The Niscayah brand (pronounced Niss-ský-ah) is being introduced this year across the company’s operations in the United States and globally to create a more distinctive and independent identity in the technical security market. The announcement was made here today at the 2008 International Security Conference and Exhibition, (ISC West).

“As our industry evolves and the requirements of corporations change and grow, the Niscayah brand will better communicate our advanced business concept, business model and offerings,” said Marty Guay, COO of Securitas Systems USA. “Our mission remains the same, and that is to protect our customers’ businesses in partnership with them. We are bringing our company together under the Niscayah name on a global basis to serve the needs of our clients with even greater ambition and commitment, and to grow our successful company.”

The Niscayah name will enable the company to build an independent brand. Securitas Systems AB, which has a presence in 14 European countries, Australia, the United States and Hong Kong, was spun off from Stockholm, Sweden-based Securitas Group in September 2006. The change of name will be formally submitted at the Securitas Systems AB Annual General Meeting for resolution and carried into effect on April 22, 2008. The company will then be listed on the Nordic Stock Exchange under the new company name Niscayah and the new ticker symbol NISC. 

The word Niscayah means ‘secure and reliable’ in the classical Sanskrit language.  Niscayah will carry forth the history of innovation and leadership of Securitas Systems AB while building a unique brand with a dynamic, futuristic name.
