The Systems Engineer assists in pre-bid proposal review, system design, system start-up, customer and employee product training, and other duties and tasks as assigned by the Branch Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for sales support and review of the functionality and design of systems proposed by sales or consultants as assigned by the engineering manager.
- Responsible for system design in close coordination with the engineering manager and project managers.
- Responsible for system configurations which include; computer hardware, operating systems, applications, device drivers, and network configurations.
- Responsible for loading the client’s access control system database.
- Responsible for the start up, test, and debug of systems to ensure that all aspects of the system are working, documented, and reporting properly.
- Responsible for customer and employee product training.
Knowledge
- 4+ years working in the electronic field where AC/DC theory is used on a daily basis.
- 4+ years working with computers at the operating system level.
- Knowledge spread sheet and word processing computer applications.
- Understanding of current network technology, telecommunications, PLC and relay logic.
- Must be able to read, understand, and apply technical manuals, plan drawings, and schematics.
