GENERAL PURPOSE:
Drive a regional sales team, providing leadership and management while simultaneously overachieving on personal sales quota goals. Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base through new account acquisition and growing existing accounts.
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
- Drive the sales team to meet and exceed team and individual sales goals.
- Exceed individual sales quota targets.
- Develop a business plan and sales strategy for the market and ensure understanding of the strategy by the team members.
- Penetrate new areas of business within the region as well as managing existing customers and relationships.
- Prepare action plans for sales executives and the team for sales leads and prospects.
- Gather and maintain information of competitor activity with respect to customers, pricing, products, and programs. Disseminate to sales team and RVP.
- Manage the sales activities of the sales executives in the region in formulating plans and strategies for profitable sales.
- Monitor the sales activities of all sales executives ensuring they understand their expected results and where they are in relation to daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly goals.
- Assist the sales executives in the preparation of proposals and pricing strategies. Accompany them on visits to major clients.
- Coach, mentor and train sales executives to grow new and existing business while maintaining exceptional customer service and support.
- Coach and develop sales executives to improve selling and negotiation skills including the Solution Selling sales process, product knowledge, and post sales processes.
- With support from RVP, manage the sales executives through hiring, on-boarding, training, evaluating, individual career management, recognition, coaching, discipline and performance review.
- Review control and reporting mechanisms for consistency and efficient use of employee resources.
- Develop and maintain high level contacts and relationships within the industry and customer base.
SUPERVISORY DUTIES
This position will supervise a team of Account Managers, Business Development Directors, and Account Executives within the region.
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge:
- Bachelor Degree and 5+ years business to business executive level sales experience.
- 2+ years sales management experience.
- Proven track record of sales successes.
- Experience managing, coaching and motivating sales teams.
- Strong understanding of sales, sales management, managed services, and customer services.
- Sales, business development, and marketing experience.
